”Keep close to natures heart…and break clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.”

John Muir

Bushcraft encompasses a wide range of skills, crafts and knowledge that enables us to have deeper connection and understanding of the natural world around us. It makes us see the woods and mountains we play in in a deeper way. A birch tree is not just a birch tree. Its fire when we need warmth, a bowl or sap when we are thirsty or even a canoe when we need to travel. It connects us with history, people and ourselves. These connections are made through hands on practical learning. We do not claim or teach any first nations traditions but simply teach crafts, techniques and woodsman skills to enrich awareness of our world.
