Introduction To Survival

2 Days of intense preparation for your next adventure. This is all about what to do when the s"?* hits the fan and things go wrong. It's also about how to avoid the part where things go wrong. Prevention is better than cure!

What do you do when your truck breaks down miles from the nearest asphalt? What do you do when you get lost due to bad weather and you can't find your way back to your car? We will give you the skills and tools to use some basic survival equipment and some strategies to make things better.

This course is ideal for day hikers, hunters or anyone that wants to recreate in some of the wilder places in Canada. I believe this knowledge is a prerequisite for anyone that spends time in the woods and mountains. Its a whistle stop tour of shelters, fires, knifes, knots, water and what you need to worry about to stay alive!  Most importantly how to do it all through hands on learning.
